Sale of GP Green Recycling
The shareholders of GP Green Recycling have announced the sale of the business to William Tracey/Enva.
GP Green Recycling produce 100,000 tonnes of compost by processing both green and food waste at its site in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire. Clients include mainly local authorities and landscaping contractors.
Jim Gilchrist, Managing Director, who started the business 15 years ago will retire following the sale, but will continue to provide a consultation service for a period of 6 months following the sale to ensure a smooth handover of the operation. Mr Gilchrist Snr will also continue as a Director of GP Plantscape.
Commenting on the sale Jim said, “Great care has been taken prior to and throughout the sale process to ensure that we have the right fit in a company to take the business forward after my retirement and to provide the best outcome for our staff. I am confident that Wm Tracey/Enva can further develop the business, serve our customers well and provide opportunities for our employees.”
The Directors at GP Green Recycling have praised the dedication and loyalty of the team on site over the past 15 years.
