Nursery Assistant

Here's how you can spend your day looking after plants

Fancy a change of scenery – how about working in a hot-house?

We currently have a vacancy for a Nursery Assistant to join our nursery and installations team. As a Nursery Assistant at GP Plantscape you will be responsible for helping to maintain the stock of plant and container material in the nursery: watering, pruning, cleaning, painting etc.

You will ensure the nursery is clean and tidy as well as accepting and unloading deliveries. Making up interior plant displays will form a key part of the role, from desk bowls, to floor standing containers, green walls and hanging baskets.

Travel to our customers sites to assist with the installation and maintenance of plant displays will be required and may require you to drive a company vehicle.

Our nursery team also look after our facilities management, so we are looking for someone who will be able to handle facilities management tasks around our premises.

We need you to be efficient, friendly, polite, helpful and hard working. Being highly motivated, confident and enthusiastic, with first class communication skills and an eagerness to learn are attributes which would make a great Nursery Assistant.

For this role we require:

  • A full clean driving licence
  • The ability to work at heights as ladder work is required

Role Details

The position is full time, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
