HCS Group

Logo WallHCS Group Ltd, a UK provider of building and facilities support services recently moved to a new Head Office in Glasgow and asked GP Plantscape to work with them on the installation of all things green in their office space and showroom area.

Working with creative minds allowed for some really innovative solutions at HCS including the feature green wall, a selection of contemporary containers and a putting green.

Featuring HCS’s logo, the green wall is an eye catching centrepiece to the office design in the main showroom. The wall itself is available in any colour and built on a modular system to different sizes as required. HCS set out to create a fun and vibrant area for their clients and as such choose bold, bright colours for their 4m x 2.5m wall which features both live and artificial planting. The logo and upper half of the wall feature the artificial planting whilst the pockets feature live plants which will mature over time.  To add to the natural feel we laid artificial grass which also provides a luscious feel whilst being hardwearing.

The fun continues with a novel artificial putting green behind which HCS have erected a floor to wall picture of the 18th hole at St Andrew’s.

Throughout the office area bright and bold continues to be a theme and that’s about where it stops. A variety of containers have been installed each very different from the next, giving each of the office areas its own individual personality. The Curvy Marylyn unit has been used in several colours but with different heights and planting types to differentiate the displays. A bright pink Flip container is used as feature to coordinate with the wall paper, a white blob with a Kentia Palm looks fresh and clean in the brightly lit corner, a wooden container planted with a jungle bush coordinates with the carpet and adds a natural feel and whilst a simple maxi tall pot with hidden wheels allows the Aglaonema to pour over the edges and shine.

Clever use of the units has created some internal divisions in the office space which also create attractive displays. The Meridian cabinet toppers help to screen off the seating area but remain functional whilst the Curvy Bridget and Sophia units which slot into each other allow division without walls.

“The move to our new premises just before Christmas was an extremely busy time for everyone, so we needed a quick turnaround on office design without compromising on style or price. Our design team had ideas on how they wanted the blank spaces to look and GP Plantscape helped bring these ideas to life with the stunning showpiece “Live Wall” bringing a real focus to the office. GP Plantscape were professional in their approach and we would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone.” Lynn Maxwell, Interior Designer/Space Planner.
