We are looking for a well-organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The role will primarily focus on purchase ledger, general finance administration and payroll, with responsibility for ensuring financial records are accurate, suppliers are paid efficiently, and payroll is processed correctly and on time.
The successful candidate will be confident working with figures, have excellent attention to detail and be able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment. Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts administration role is essential, with payroll experience highly desirable.

Previous experience in accounting would be preferable and a knowledge of SAGE 50, SAGE PAYROLL and Office 365 also desirable. Full training for the successful candidate will be given.
Some of the main responsibilities and duties of the role:
- Prepare and issue all sales invoices to customers using SAGE 50.
- Liaise with internal departments and customers to resolve any invoicing queries.
- Ensure timely receipt of all customer purchase orders.
- Post daily bank receipts and payments into SAGE 50.
- Credit control
- Assist with payroll
- General office duties
The ideal candidate will be extremely well organised, detail orientated, conscientious and able to prioritise and multi task. Good communication skills, ability to handle confidential information and attention to detail are also key requirements.
Role Details
The position is full-time, working 35 hours per week.
