In a recent installation, GP Plantscape has introduced natural colour through foliage focal points in a modern office space for a Glasgow based SaaS company.
Nikki Thng founded ClassForKids in 2014, providing businesses with a dedicated system for managing, finding, and booking kids classes. Gymnastics clubs, dance schools, drama academies and football clubs are just some of the organisations reaping the benefits of utilising the ClassForKids management system.
The system allows online booking and payments, significantly reducing administration time and by making it much easier for busy parents to access classes increasing customer satisfaction at the same time. As a result of the systems resounding success, ClassForKids has expanded rapidly.
Now, with customers throughout the UK and more than 40 employees, the team have outgrown their offices and relocated to larger premises in Glasgow City Centre. The light and spacious open plan area facilitates collaborative working and the company’s vision was to create a fun and healthy working environment using plants to create some natural divisions and colour.
The final planting solution is simple but stunning, incorporating Patt High and Cody High ridged containers to blend with the grey tones of the office and allowing the plants glossy green leaves to steal the show. While floor standing units take their position in strategic corners and wall spaces, white cabinet toppers, planted with sansevieria add natural divisions, establishing an element of privacy and structure in the wide-open space.
So invested are the team at ClassForKids in their plants, they held an internal competition to name their foliage friends. Among the winning entries, the big personalities of Leaf Ledger, Keanu Leaves, Morgan Treeman and Austin Flowers proudly sport stylish name tags, firmly ensconced in their new home. While the team are currently working flexibly from home, employees are now looking forward to getting back to the office on a more full-time basis to take advantage of their beautiful city centre office space.
Bethany Wilson, administration assistant, said: “We just love plants. It makes the office even more welcoming, and they are so nice to look at.”
For GP, it has been fantastic to work with a team so enthusiastic about plants and who recognise the benefits of incorporating the beauty of nature into the working environment.
Bethany said: “GP have been perfect. Elaine [contracts manager] is great and if we have any questions, she is just at the end of the phone, and it has been lovely to see Lesley and her friendly face when she comes in to tend to the plants.”
